1. Online Sales Terms & Conditions

a. Paterson is a New Zealand owned business based in Auckland. Online sales are for the New Zealand domestic market only, no exports.
b. Paterson does not allow exchanges, refunds or returns for online purchases. Please choose carefully and consult with an appropriate plumbing industry professional, to confirm product suitability for your purposes prior to purchasing. For any faulty or wrongly picked goods, please contact us directly so we can meet our obligations in accordance with the consumers guarantees act.
c. You will be contacted directly to arrange delivery of goods and payment of any applicable freight and handling charges.
d. Cancellation of orders can be done at the time you are contacted to arrange delivery of goods and payment of any applicable freight and handling charges.
e. It is the receiver’s responsibility to inspect all goods on arrival. Any damage found prior to signing for the goods must be noted and signed for as damaged. If goods are signed for in good condition and then found to be damaged we must be advised in writing (fax or email) with in 12 hours of delivery. This is the window that our freight carrier’s allow to consider a claim for in transit damage. After this period they have the right to refuse any claim lodged.
f. We aim to ensure the accuracy of our information on our website. In case of error, Paterson accepts no responsibility for any direct or consequential loss. Where measurements are critical, please contact Paterson for confirmation before purchasing. We reserve the right to change specifications and pricing at any time without notice.
g. We do our best to portray the product accurately but some images/colours may differ slightly from the actual product. Please arrange to view in the showroom where possible if the product colour is of concern to you.
h. Special orders are not returnable and may have a 20 week lead time. For accurate lead times please contact Paterson.
i. Goods must be collected or have delivery arranged within 30 days of purchase unless by prior agreement and storage may be charged.
j. Sale goods are non returnable and non refundable.

2. Privacy and Security of your information

a. Paterson does not sell, rent or disclose any of your personal information to third parties. We will only release information if we believe the release of such information is appropriate to comply with law; facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Paterson.
b. We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information. Credit card details do not get processed or transmitted through, or via the Paterson website. All online transactions are processed through a secure payment service provider, Payment Express.

3. General

a. The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out the criteria goods and businesses have to meet, and specifies minimum rights and remedies available, if goods or businesses fail to meet one or more of these criteria. Paterson will comply with all requirements of the Consumer Guarantees Act.

4. Warranty

a. Paterson’s warranty policy covers our products for the period specified for each product, Please ensure you understand the warranty term for each product as this varies across our ranges.
b. Warranty claims cover any fault, defect or failure occurring as a result of the manufacturing process. Damage or faults occurring as a result of misuse, accident, freight and handling, incorrect installation and wear and tear are not covered by our warranty policy.
c. Wherever possible we will endeavour to repair any fault to a factory issue standard at no charge.
d. Where repair is not possible or practical we will replace the product with the same or similar product.
e. If the product is out of warranty, and repair is possible, then the cost of the repair will be charged to the customer. to the customer.

5. Account Holders

Terms and conditions form part of the account application and are to be adhered too.

6. Refusing or cancelling orders

a. In the unlikely event that the goods or services ordered are no longer available we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order.
b. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders where we believe, at our own discretion, that the time between payment and collection is too long.
c. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, at our own discretion, to have been placed fraudulently.
d. While we endeavor to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order. Our right to cancel orders applies to orders that have been accepted.
